In the first quarter of 2025, the top music and podcast applications in Switzerland showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts experienced a peak in weekly revenue, reaching around $70K in late February. Downloads saw a downward trend, starting from approximately 8.5K and ending at 5.5K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users remained strong, peaking at over 1.5M in early March.

For Play SRF: Streaming TV & Radio, weekly downloads fluctuated with a high of 6.1K in late February. Active users initially dropped but recovered to around 190K by the end of March.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts maintained steady download numbers, averaging around 3.5K weekly. Active users showed resilience, peaking at 426K in late February.

Swiss Radio / Schweiz / Suisse saw a decline in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads started at 8.9K, decreasing to 1.8K by March's end. Active users hovered around 30K throughout the quarter.

Finally, YouTube Music had a significant spike in revenue, reaching over $100K in late February. Downloads remained stable, while active users increased to over 308K by the end of March.
